The LA Galaxy captain helped his side beat Vancouver 2-0
Euro 2016 may have not been very memorable for Robbie Keane, but he has gotten over the heartbreak at the quickest available opportunity.
The Ireland captain returned to action for LA Galaxy on Tuesday night in a home game against Vancouver Whitecaps. Due to the 4th of July, Independence Day celebrations, MLS scheduled some games for their national holiday.
Despite the fireworks across America off the pitch, it only to Keane less than 12 minutes to provide some of his own on the field of play. The Galaxy captain scored one of the best goals of his career, scoring past goalkeeper David Ousted into the top right corner.
Keane revealed he was "delighted to be back" with the team, after the 2-0 win. "I knew if I got a chance, I'd put it away. Thankfully it came very, very early in the game."
LA currently lie in fourth place in the Western Conference and look on course to book their place in the end-of-season playoffs.
