The number eight helped Ireland to the final
Ireland's Max Deegan has been named as the player of the tournament at the Under-20 World Championships in England.
The Blackrock number-eight was part of an Ireland side that lost the final to England 45-21 on Saturday evening. Deegan scored his third try of the tournament, in the final moments of the 24-point defeat.
One of five players to be nominated for the honour, Deegan won the award through a public vote on World Rugby's Facebook page.
The 2016 tournament is Ireland's best performance in the history of the competition. On only one previous occasion, Ireland had reached the semi-final stage, and eventually came fourth in 2014.
