'Are you happy?'
New Zealand prevailed comfortably against Wales in their second test meeting but there was a peculiar exchange between the referee and one of the New Zealand's players which got people talking.
After sharing a 10-10 half-time scoreline, New Zealand scored three tries to seal the win which was the routine part of the night.
But midway through the first half, the Welsh fans had some questions about a conversation between the referee and New Zealand captain Kieran Read.
Waisake Nahola escaped a card following an aerial challenge on Liam Williams which was followed by the referee asking All Blacks captain Read, 'are you happy with that?'
The moment was not well received online.
Ref to Kieran Read: "It's just a penalty, are you happy with that?" Clear yellow - farce https://t.co/CHoFr9FLam— Russell Jackson (@rustycj) June 18, 2016
Referees are so afraid of the All Blacks that they ask Kieran Reed "are you happy with that decision?"😀😀😀— Owain Jones (@OJ5597) June 18, 2016
By the way, why would Peyper ask Read "are you happy with that?" That level of preferential treatment is unacceptable— Aron Treharne (@arontreharne) June 18, 2016
Interesting approach by the ref to ask the Kiwi captain "are you happy with that?" All Blacks been reffing matches for years #NZLvWAL— paul stokes (@PaulStokes_) June 18, 2016
I sincerely hope the significance of Peyper's "are you happy with that?" to Read isn't overlooked.— Dave Lockyer (@dailockyer) June 18, 2016
"Are you happy with that?" asks Jaco Peyper, wiping Read's jizz off his chin.— Dai Lama (@WelshDalaiLama) June 18, 2016
A deferential calamity of a referee.
"Are you happy with that?" Yes that is great thanks should have been a yellow card #NZLvWAL— Chris Howse (@howse_c) June 18, 2016
Deference refs show to All Blacks unreal. Asks Read 'are you happy with that?' after failing to give his winger a card #NZLvWAL— Hywel Robson-Kanu (@HywelRoberts2) June 18, 2016
