The team lost 1-0 to Venezuela in Philadelphia
Luis Suarez does not enjoy losing. He enjoys it even less, when he's on the bench and cannot influence what's happening on the pitch.
Uruguay were eliminated from the Copa America Centenario on Thursday night after a 1-0 loss to Venezuela. West Brom striker Solomon Rondon scored the game's only goal in Philadelphia as Uruguay were knocked out with a game to spare in Group C.
Suarez has yet to feature for the team in the tournament due to injury, but has been on the bench for the opening loss to Mexico and the Venezuela defeat.
Despite a hamstring injury, Suarez warmed up and tried to convince manager Oscar Tabarez to send him on for the final ten minutes as the team chased an equalising goal. You have to admire the Barcelona striker's willingness to play through injury.
As he showed in the 2010 World Cup quarter-final against Ghana, Suarez will do anything for his country.
