Celtic have confirmed the departure of Irish international Anthony Stokes.

The forward, who is not part of Ireland's Euro 2016 squad, leaves after six years at Celtic Park.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at his former club Hibernian, helping the Edinburgh club to Scottish Cup glory.

The Dubliner scored 77 goals in all competitions for Celtic and won four Scottish league titles.

"Everyone at Celtic would sincerely like to wish Anthony the very best of success for the future," said the Glasgow club.
