Waterford had the last laugh as a trilogy of games against Clare finished on a high note, their seven point victory booked their spot in the Munster SHC final.

Manager Derek McGrath spoke to Oisin Langan after the game and explained how his team had been "fuelled by the disappointment" of league final.

Speaking on tonight's Off The Ball, captain Kevin Moran told Joe what was different between the replay and Sunday's Championship clash.

"We didn't want to talk about [the replay] too much and make a big deal about it, but when you're six points up two or three times during a game, you want to be trying to close it out" he said.

"We didn't do it in the drawn game and obviously not in the replay. It's disappointing but in hindsight it's easy to say our lessons so we got on top on Sunday and thankfully we stayed their and kicked on in the end."

Moran also praised the impact that some of the younger players are having on the squad, in particular 20-year-old Austin Gleeson.

"There young in age but they're all super guys, all intelligent fellas and good family men as well. There's no personality issues. They're all about the team and what's best for the team.

"There's leaders that are in that dressing room that might be 10 years younger than me but they're well able to speak their minds and have a chat. Whether it's an arm around the back or a getting on to, they're well able to do it."
