Louth 4-15......... Sligo 4-11

This year's Lory Meagher Cup produced a dramatic finish today as Louth resurrected from a 12 point deficit, to overcome Sligo with a flury of goals in the closing stages.

Sligo eased into a comfortable lead in the opening half with three goals putting considerable distance between the sides. And as they went in with a substantial lead at the break, it was looking as though they would finally earn promotion to the Nicky Rackard Cup at the second time of asking after losing to Fermanagh last year.

But Louth came storming back in the second half and clinched the win through goals from Shane Callan and Liam Dwan, and substitutes Andrew Mackin and Seaghan Connelly.
