Milan's metro service has been evacuated following the finding of a suspicious package five kilometers from the San Siro, where the Champions League final will be played tonight.

Italian media reported that two metro lines were halted for after CCTV captured a woman leaving to parcels on the stairs of the Piazza Cadorna metro station.

The M1 line – which is one of the routes which will transport fans to the stadium – was interrupted between the stations of Cairoli and Pagano and the M2 line was suspended between Garibaldi and Porta Genova.

Italian police evacuated the stations but it turned out to be a false alarm as the packages contained baby gifts.

The Champions Legaue final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will kick-off at 7.45pm tonight.
