"Mayweather/McGregor is a whole big publicity stunt to hide the fact that he got beat" - Nate Diaz

The Stockton fighter confirms that relationship with Dana White still positive after meeting

Nate Diaz insists talks are ongoing to schedule a rematch against Conor McGregor, with one date thought to be August 20th.

Speaking on a special edition of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani this evening, Diaz said that he will wait for the fight and will not rush into negotiations.

"I fought and the very next day they were calling me asking me would I fight Conor again" he said.

"So I went to that UFC 200 press conference because they asked me. I started my fight camp before the first fight and it just didn't stop after that.

"They hit me up about UFC 202 and I start training. Then I hear all this Mayweather/McGregor sh*t and I feel like that's a whole big publicity stunt to hide the fact that he got his ass beat. So I just thought I must be cut out of that whole deal."
