We ran a Twitter poll which leans towards the 'No' side
Given how long it has taken for Jose Mourinho to get to the brink of the Manchester United job, it goes to show the level of doubt some at the club have regarding his candidacy.
United legend Eric Cantona questioned whether his style is the right fit for Old Trafford, and there are worries that Mourinho will become a stumbling block for young players trying to make the jump from the academy to the first team. Pat Nevin told Off The Ball that he is of the 'if you're good enough, you're old enough' mentality but previous management spells do raise some doubts.
His sometimes corrosive behaviour and approach while in charge of Chelsea and Real Madrid has also led to concerns in some quarters that Man United might do well to steer well clear of the Portuguese manager.
Opinion among fans and observers does appear to be polarised despite his very clear track record of success and huge trophy haul.
