The Aussie shot a 36-hole round and holds a lead over Shane Lowry
Australian and World number one Jason Day will take a four shot lead into the third round of the Players Championship after setting a new 36-hole scoring record at Sawgrass.
Play resumed this morning after weather forced a suspension on Friday but it didn't affect Day as he shot a third birdie in succession when he made his way back to the fairways.
He followed that up with pars on the final three meaning he added a 66 to his 63 on Thursday for a 15 under par total of 129, one stroke better than Greg Norman's previous record in 1994.
Shane Lowry is Day's closest competitor, as he sits four shts behind on -11, with the Offaly man completing a round of 68 on Friday.
