AS Roma recorded a comfortable three goal victory over Chievo Veron this afternoon with the game marking a significant moment in Serie A history.

Francesco Totti came off the bench to mark his 600th appearance for Roma in the Italian League, a record only bettered by fellow footballing icons Paolo Maldini and Javier Zannetti.

At the tender age of 39-years-young, Il Bimbo d'Oro has shown no signs of slowing down this season, popping up with vital goals in recent weeks as Roma continue their push for automatic qualification for Champions League football next season.

He underlined his importance to his side once again, as after coming off the bench he marked the occasion with an assist for Miralem Pjanic's goal.

Tottie has netted five times in 12 appearances this season.

Roma moved into second place following a routine 3-0 win over Chievo Verona, but the plaudits firmly belonged to one man.
