Former World No 1 has registered for the tournament
Tiger Woods has registered for this year's US Open.
The former world number one hasn't played competitively since late October after undergoing two back operations.
But he did take part in a golf clinic in North Carolina on Thursday.
The 40-year-old had until Wednesday to register for the tournament at the Oakmont Country Club in June but his decision to sign-up for the tournament at this stage doesn't mean that he's guaranteed to tee-off on June 13th.
Woods previously won the US Open three times, in 2000, 2002 and 2008.
