Paul Dunne fades at Shenzhen International to endure disappointing finish

The Greystones finished T31 on four-under-par

Paul Dunne endured a disappointing final round at the Shenzhen International to card a 76 and finish the tournament on four under par.

The Greystones golfer was tied for third heading into the weekend, he followed his opening round 68 with an equally impressive 69.

Poor weather conditions disrupted play over the weekend, poor lighting, rain and thunderstorms unsettled those lucky enough to make the cut.

A final round 76 saw him fall further back off the pace to finish T31 as play spilled over into Monday morning.

South Korea's Lee Soomin earned his first European Tour title with victory at Genzon Golf Club.

"I got a big chance in Malaysia but I didn't make it because I was really, really nervous. Now I made it," he said.

"Yesterday I was really, really nervous. We had a lot of break times and then played again so that's really good for me and I just thought about my golf and then competed until I could do it."

Lee pockets more than €400,000 and because was playing the tournament on a sponsor's invitation, he also receives a European Tour exemption through to the end of the 2018 season.
