Saul Elizondo last fought professionally at Bellator 143 in September
A pair of shoplifters got more than they bargained for as their attempted robbery was foiled by a professional MMA fighter in Albuquerque recently.
A shop clerk found himself confronting the pair within his store, with one of the alleged thieves raising his fist and readying to throw it before he found himself being bundled outside the front door.
The person doing the bundling was Saul Elizondo, a professional fighter who last competed at Bellator 143 last September and holds a 6-6 record on the circuit.
"Honestly, it just happened so quickly. It was crazy," Elizondo told local new outley KRQE News 13.
"It felt weird training with all these monsters here and grabbing this guy here felt like grabbing a little child, like I was playing with a little kid."
