Leicester Mercury suggest it's on the cards

While football hasn't always translated well to the big screen, Leicester City's fairytale rise to the brink of Premier League glory does have some of the elements necessary for a decent film.

With a new Jamie Vardy movie apparently in the works, ex-hard-man footballer turned movie star Vinnie Jones is supposedly being lined up to take on the Leicester striker's former Foxes manager Nigel Pearson.

Pearson, of course, was sacked by Leicester after a turbulent survival campaign last season which saw him call a journalist an "ostrich" during a heated press conference, paving the way for Claudio Ranieri to replace him and lead the club to heady heights.

According to Leicester Mercury, the movie's producers are in favour of Jones as Pearson and its screenwriter and producer has also suggested that it could be released next year, with filming in the Autumn.
