The prop struck out at his opponent, kicking him straight in the head.
A club rugby match in Argentina was the scene of an ugly attack recently when a Club Pucará player kicked out at an opponent from San Albano.
The player, who has been identified as prop Cipriano Martinez by Wales Online, lashed out at his opponent, kicking him in the head.
The club themselves have issued a statement on their Facebook page, saying that they "condemn the unsportsmanlike conduct that took place in the match against San Albano, and extend an apology to the injured player, to Club San Albano and to all of rugby in general".
The club also added that they had taken disciplinary action, and a source on Twitter has stated that the player has been handed a 99-year ban as a result.
In regards to the ugly foul play act in Buenos Aires on Saturday I have been told that Pucara Club banned the player for 99 years.— Paul Tait (@Argentina2023) 4 April 2016
While that has yet to be confirmed, the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires may also step in to issue a further punishment.
