Conor McGregor set for Nate Diaz rematch at UFC 200

Diaz submitted McGregor in the second round in the main event of UFC 196

Conor McGregor will be given a shot at redemption at UFC 200 if the latest reports are to be believed.

According to Ariel Helwani, the UFC is close to finalizing a non-title welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz as the main event of UFC 200 in July.

Diaz submitted McGregor in the second-round via a rear-naked choke in the main event of UFC 196.

The fight has yet to be confirmed by officials, with featherweights Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo both campaigning for a shot at the 145 crown.

However, it looks as though McGregor will get another shot at Diaz before competing for the lightweight belt as previously planned against Rafael Dos Anjos.

The Brazilian previously pulled out of the UFC 196 title bout with a broken foot.
