Harry Redknapp has joined Championship club Derby as a "football advisor".

The former Tottenham, West Ham and Portsmouth manager will assist head coach Darren Wassall until the end of the season.

"From the first conversation I had with the Chairman it was clear he has exciting plans for the football club. I am delighted to be able to help out and am looking forward to working with Darren and his team," said Redknapp.

Redknapp had been out of work since leaving QPR last year, although he has agreed to take on the Jordan national team manager's job on a short-term basis.
