Tipperary and Galway played out a draw in a thrilling encounter at Pearse Stadium on Sunday as the game came down to the final seconds.

The two sides were locked in a titanic battle from the early stages, with Joe Canning once again at his brilliant best - he finished the game with an individual tally of 1-11, the pick of the bunch being a stunning sideline cut from distance that brought the crowd to their feet.

It was Canning's score that had Galway in front with the final whistle approaching, but John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer popped up to produce a masterful point with the pressure on in the 74th minute, moments before the referee brought the game to an end, leaving the score tied at 2-19 to 1-22.
