The Cork hurlers have had another huge injury set-back following confirmation that centre-back Mark Ellis will miss the rest of the Allianz League after breaking his arm in the defeat to Dublin last Saturday.

The Evening Echo quote manager Kieran Kingston as confirming that the injury occurred towards the end of this weekend's league defeat to Dublin.

His operation on the broken arm takes place today.

"It’s another shocking blow for us, coming on the back of the long term injury to Colm Spillane and the expectation is that he will be out for some time and might even be a doubt for the championship game with Tipperary," says Kingston.
