Southampton manager Ronald Koeman says Shane Long's injury is looking less serious than first feared and he might even feature against Bournemouth tomorrow.

The Ireland striker picked up a knock while playing Chelsea at the weekend.

The Ireland international scored Saints' only goal in the 2-1 defeat, before limping off.

But Koeman says the problem is not overly serious.

"We have one doubt about Shane Long. It was a little bit cramp, it wasn't really a hamstring injury. We have the session later on and then we will make the decision, if he is ready for tomorrow," said the Dutchman.

Koeman also praised the striker in his interview with Southampton's official YouTube channel.

"Shane is doing very well this season. He's very dangerous, he's scoring goals, he's creating a lot of problems for defenders," he said.
