NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has revealed that his favourite football team in England is League Two high-flyers Northampton Town.

The former Orlando Magic, LA Lakers and Miami Heat centre has recorded a video wishing Northampton the best of luck for the remainder of the season as they look set for a successful 2016.

Chris Wilder's side look set to be promoted to League One as The Cobblers lie five points clear, with a game in-hand at the top of the table. The link between O'Neal and the club comes from his relationship with Northampton Town owner Kelvin Thomas. The men co-own an internet radio station in America.

In the video, O'Neal also reveals that he plans to go to Sixfields soon to see the team in action.
