He had been linked with a move to France
Simon Zebo is the latest Irish international to sign a new deal with Munster.
Following on from the announcement of new contracts for fellow international and provincial team-mates Conor Murray and Keith Earls last week, the versatile back has signed a new two-year contract which takes him to 2018.
Speculation had tied the 25-year-old to a potential move abroad, with France particularly mooted as a destination.
Munster head coach Anthony Foley expressed his delight at the development.
"It's great to have even more good news on the contract front today," he said.
"Simon's record speaks for itself and keeping a player with his experience and versatility is key to our plans going forward so we are delighted that he has committed his future to Munster.”
