Britain’s Kate Avery won the 6k Great Edinburgh International Cross Country run at Holyrood Park
Ireland's Fionnuala McCormack finished runner-up in the 6k Great Edinburgh International Cross Country run at Holyrood Park on Saturday.
McCormack’s impressive display wasn't enough to beat Britain’s Kate Avery, who finished narrowly ahead to claim first place.
Rio beckons for the 31-year-old, who also put in a wonderful performance as part of the Irish women’s team who took bronze at the European Cross Country Championships in December.
