Adnan Januzaj returns to Manchester United after a disastrous loan spell at Borussia Dortmund and the German side's manager hasn't been complimentary of the Belgian.

Thomas Tuchel has criticised Januzaj, saying the player did not display the correct attitude during his loan spell in the Bundesliga.

“It is a pity he did not show the desire and attitude you need to progress at his age,” Tuchel told Sportbild.

"My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United."

The 20-year-old joined Dortmund in August on a season-long loan, but this was cut short by mutual agreement this month.

Januzaj failed to start a single match during this spell and Tuchel said the side was “not able to help him to shake" off his perceived attitude.

The Belgian will work with the U21 side before integrating back to the first team under Louis van Gaal, so as to regain full match fitness.
