The 28-year-old now plays with Nice
Hatem Ben Arfa remains one of the biggest "what ifs" of recent Premier League history.
The French international lit up St. James' Park in his time at Newcastle before leaving the club in 2014. He joined Hull on loan at the start of the 2014/15 season before return to France in the following January.
Since joining Ligue 1 side Nice, Ben Arfa has impressed and is the team's top scorer. All of his seven goals have come in Ligue 1.
Last night, he showed why he is missed at Newcastle, in Nice's French Cup loss to Rennes. Somehow he was able to beat five players before his shot was cleared off the line by Sylvain Armand late in the second half.
The game finished 2-2 with Ben Arfa scoring from the penalty spot for Nice. The game went to penalties which saw Nice knocked out of the French Cup.
