Earlier this year, El Hadji Diouf had a go at his former Liverpool team-mate and captain Steven Gerrard - a feeling that was mutual judging from the former England skipper's book.

But this time his ire has been turned towards another ex-Reds team-mate from the Merseyside area.

In an interview with French football magazine So Foot, Diouf called Jamie Carragher an "egotist" and "the biggest turkey I've seen on a football pitch".
