Manchester City's new crest has been leaked, days ahead of its official release

The crest was due to be unveiled on St. Stephen's Day

Manchester City's new crest may have been inadvertently leaked by the British Intellectual Property Office ahead of the St Stephen's Day launch.

The current crest has been used since 1997, but will be changed for the start of next season. Previous Manchester City crests have been circular and it looks like the new crest will follow that tradition.

Manchester City are owned by the City Football Group, who are also in charge of MLS side New York City and the A-League team Melbourne City. Both of those teams have circle shaped crests and it looks like the Premier League side will fall in line with that theme judging by the documents released.
