When his footballing career ends, West Ham striker Andy Carroll may have a future in professional wresting.

WWE Executive Vice President Triple H was speaking yesterday in London when he singled out the England striker as a future superstar. Triple H (real name Paul Levesque) was speaking to ITV News when he was asked what footballer could make it as a wrestler.

According to West Ham's official website, Levesque said; "Maybe a player like Andy Carroll. He is tall, likes to play it tough with the opposition and has the right looks with the long hair. He could be interesting!”

Carroll seemed to challenge Levesque to a fight on twitter, once hearing the news.

The West Ham striker would not be the first England international to get involved with the WWE. Last month, Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney slapped wrestler Wade Barrett at an event in Manchester.
