It was the Brazilian's first loss in ten years
As a professional athlete, losing it one of the worst things that can happen you. If you have not tasted defeated in over ten years, that feeling will be magnified even more.
Footage has emerged of Jose Aldo in his dressing room after the 13 second loss to Conor McGregor. The Brazilian had gone into the fight as the slight favourite, after a late flurry of bets went in his favour in the hours before the fight.
In the video, you can see Aldo's coaches comforting the fighter, before UFC President Dana White and and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta enter the dressing room to console Aldo, his wife and backroom team.
Despite the months of preparations, it shows how cruel the fight game can be at times, especially when you are on the losing side.
