Having fought both Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor, Chad Mendes has given his verdict on which way he thinks the fight will go.

Speaking to MMA Digest, Mendes said that he believes there will only be one winner in this fight, and it's not going to be McGregor: "I don't know if I see anybody getting knocked out, but I think Aldo is going to tear him up".

He adds that he would love to fight McGregor again, and given how little preparation he got for the fight the last time the two met, it could make for a great spectacle no matter what happens in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Mendes has a fight of his own to prepare for in The Ultimate Fighter 22 finale as he faces Frankie Edgar, which will decide more or less who the de facto number one contender in the division is.
