The 26-year-old looks set to miss out of the busy Christmas period of games
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge looks set to miss the busy Christmas period after suffering another injury setback last weekend against Newcastle.
The England international came off the bench in the 2-0 loss and suffered a hamstring strain, despite finishing the game. It is his third injury setback of the season. He has only made six appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side scoring four goals.
Sturridge missed the start of the season, due to a hip operation in May but returned to the team in the opening weeks of the season. He suffered an ankle injury and foot injury at other times this season.
Last week, the 26-year-old scored twice in the League Cup against Southampton and looked like return to his outstanding form in the 2013-14 season.
Liverpool's busy Christmas and New Year period includes games against West Brom, Watford, Leicester, Sunderland and Weest Ham.
Last month, manager Jurgen Klopp famously spoke about how Sturridge must learn how to manage pain after missing a Europa League game against Bordeaux.
