We've been chatting about the move and what it means for Pogba, Rashford, and Martial...
It looks like Romelu Lukaku is set to make a massive money move to Manchester United in the coming days.
Latest reports are that he is set to undergo a medical in LA before completing a move to Old Trafford for £75m.
Andy Mitten from United We Stand joined Off The Ball to discuss the deal. He believes that the signing could be an important development in the club's mission to build a team around Paul Pogba:
"They’re looking for the future, Paul Pogba will be the main man in the team, that’s what they’ve told him.
"He (Lukaku) has scored wherever he’s been - the age is perfect - he already lives in Manchester. He’s very close friends with Paul Pogba."
The pair were recently photographed training together in LA.
"I've heard criticism that his first touch is too heavy and he scores most of his goals against weaker opponents. I’ve looked through all the stats today, he’s scored against Manchester City home and away last season, as well as the weaker opponents.
"If he was to do that for Manchester United, given Manchester United drew so many games against weaker opponents last year, I don’t think you’d find many complaints," he continued.
Andy added that the club knows it won't be getting any bargains in this transfer window:
"It’s a tough transfer market, there’s not much movement at the moment. United do not want to be held to ransom because every club knows United are the richest club in the world so they’re asking top dollar."
