They will take on Venezuela in the decider
England have reached the final of the FIFA Under-20 World Cup for the first time.
Two goals from Liverpool bound Chelsea forward Dominic Solanke and another from Ademola Lookman helped them come from behind to beat Italy 3-1 in South Korea.
Paul Simpson's side will take on Venezuela in Sunday's title decider.
Juventus youngster and current tournament top scorer Riccardo Orsolini had given Italy a lead within two minutes of kick off but Solanke levelled with 24 minutes to go before Lookman put England ahead on 77 minutes.
Solanke put the icing on the cake for the English with two minutes to go.
Ireland has some past history at the Under-20 World Cup (formerly FIFA World Youth Championship) with a third placed finish back in 1997 with a squad including future international winger and winner of 100 caps Damien Duff.
Current stars who shone at past under-20 World Cups include Lionel Messi who scored twice in the 2005 final when Argentina won and Sergio Aguero who was top scorer in 2007 like Messi two years earlier.
