Borussia Dortmund have appointed Ajax's Peter Bosz as their new manager.

The 53 year-old, who joined the Dutch side last year, joined the Bundesliga side after resigning from Ajax this morning.

Bosz most recently led a young Ajax side to the Europa League final, only to lose out to Manchester United in the final in Stockholm.

His team also missed out on this season's Eredivisie title, finishing second and just a single point behind Feyenoord. Dortmund make the appointment after former manager Thomas Tuchel left the club last week.

Tuchel won his first trophy with the German side last week as Dortmund beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in the German Cup final. Dortmund will pay Ajax £4.3million in compensation for Bosz.
