The winger picked up the injury on international duty
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is due to have an operation on his injured ankle.
He picked up the injury on international duty and has returned to London from the Belgian national team training camp.
It's thought he could be out for around two months - and might miss the start of the Premier League season.
Hazard was in fine form last season as he helped Chelsea win the Premier League title, scoring 16 goals and chipping in with five assists.
Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and did little to play down the speculation saying: "Of course, I would consider it if Madrid made an offer. I am keen to win trophies. It would be great to win the Champions League."
