Antoine Griezmann has reiterated his commitment to Atletico Madrid, saying it would be a 'dirty move' to leave in light of the transfer ban that has been imposed on the club.

The Frenchman was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, but they later cooled their interest amidst news that the club had been hit with the ban for breaching FIFA rules regarding the signing of minors.

The ban means that Atletico cannot sign any new players until 2018, which would prevent them from seeking out a replacement for Griezmann if he were to leave.

An appeal was submitted to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas), but was rejected.

Griezmann tweeted his allegiance to Atletico during the week, and speaking to French TV station, Telefoot, he reiterated his desire to stay:

"We have decided to stay. (The constant speculation and questions about his future) was pretty irritating.

"It is a difficult moment for the club and for my teammates. It would have been a really harsh blow (for the club) to leave. There is another beautiful season to be had."
