There were joyous scenes for Republic of Ireland's Niamh Fahey on Saturday, as her club Chelsea Ladies won the Women's Super League One Spring Series.

Chelsea secured the title following a 2-0 win over Birmingham City Ladies, courtesy of goals from Karen Carney and Fran Kirby.

The result ensures that Chelsea will finish the Series in pole position regardless of other results.

Megan Campbell's Man City Women lost out on their bid for three consecutive domestic trophies, as they finished second on the table following a 3-1 victory over fourth-placed Liverpool.

It was a memorable day for Campbell as she scored her first goal for the club during the tie.

Meanwhile, fellow Irish teammate Louise Quinn was also on target for Arsenal as they took third place following a 5-0 win over Bristol City.
