Cristiano Ronldo has expressed confidence that Real Madrid will overcome Juventus in the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.

The attacker has won the trophy twice before with the club in 2014 and 2016 - as well as with Manchester United in 2008 - was in confident mood in his comments to Real Madrid TV.

He said: "We must go in to the match with humility but showing attitude and character, showing that we are better. Juventus are a great team but I think we are better. I have the feeling that we are going to have a great game and win. I hope the fans are with us on Saturday. We are thinking positively and Hala Madrid!"

The Portugal manager also praised Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane for the way he has managed his game time this season, saying: "Now I'm better physically than in other seasons. It has been smart management by Zidane and also thanks to my teammates. The team is in good form and we have to take advantage of it."

Ronaldo has scored 40 goals in 45 games in all competitions this season, including 10 en route to the upcoming Champions League final in Cardiff.

Real will be aiming to do a Champions League and La Liga double after winning the league and will also aim to become the first side to retain the trophy in the Champions League era.
