Gardaí appeal for witnesses after cyclist dies in Cork road accident

A man in his 40s died following the collision on the Ballincollig bypass at approximately 12:25pm yesterday

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision yesterday afternoon.

The collision involving a cyclist and a 4 X 4 vehicle occurred on the Ballincollig bypass at approximately 12:25pm on Sunday May 14th 2017.

The cyclist - a man in his 40s - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
