This morning will be dry in many areas with any frost clearing and sunny spells developing.

Showers will affect coastal counties of Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. Some of these will be wintry, becoming widespread by early afternoon, with some hail and a risk of thunder.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with fresh, gusty northerly winds.

Tonight

Tonight, showers will continue along west, north and east coasts.

They will die out inland and northerly winds will ease somewhat. It will be cold with lowest temperatures of 0 to 3 degrees with frost developing in many areas.
