Affected by bus & rail disruption? Here are some alternatives...

There are cancellations and major disruption across almost all Irish Rail and Dublin Bus services this morning.

It comes amid the ongoing strike action by workers at Bus Éireann, with secondary pickets at a number of locations & depots resulting in today's disruption.

Dublin Bus and Irish Rail say a majority of services are being impacted.

So what are the options for anyone struggling to reach their destinations this morning?

In Dublin, the Luas has not been affected and is running as normal.

Private bus operators - such as AircoachJJ Kavanagh and GoBus - are still operating.

Taxis are, of course, still operating - although checking my Hailo / MyTaxi in Dublin this morning shows high demand for cars. 

For those travelling a shorter distance, meanwhile, it might be worth walking instead of driving to avoid any heavy traffic.
