A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Birmingham by police investigating the Westminster terror attack which left four dead and dozens injured.

Police said the 30-year-old was being held on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.

So far he's the 12th person to be detained by the Met Police.

Another man, who's 58, remains in custody - nine people have been released without charge, while a 32 year old woman arrested in Manchester remains on bail.

British police admit they may never know the motive of the man who carried out Wednesday's terror attack in central London, but have said they do believe that Khalid Masood, 52, acted alone.
