A father and son have been injured after a helicopter crash in County Louth.  

Emergency services were called to the scene, when the aircraft crashed in a garden in Carlingford. 

The pilot, who's in his 70's, was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin - his son who's in his 40's, was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda. 

Coastguard Operations Manager Gerard O'Flynn says their rescue co-ordination centre in Dublin were contacted to arrange the air transport.
