Man dies following crash in Drogheda

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic collision

A man has died following a car crash in Drogheda.

The collision occurred at Roadhall roundabout, North Road at approximately 7.30pm. The 76 year-old man was the sole occupant of the car, and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic collision investigation but is expected to be reopened by 12 midnight tonight. Local diversions are in place.
