While the right and left of the political spectrum have been waging war over Donald Trump since the day he announced his candidacy to become the US president, the spiritual battle is only just kicking off, as witches worldwide have decided to cast a spell against the Republican president, only to find Christians will fight back with the power of prayer.

The witches group is being spearheaded by “writer, speaker, and magical thinker” Michael M Hughes, who has uploaded the guidelines to a binding spell to be cast at midnight on every waning moon until the US premier is removed from office.

In order to complete the ritual, witches must first gather the necessary components, including an unflattering photo of the president, the stub of an orange candle, as well as optional pieces like pyrite, also known as fool’s gold. Arranging the items in a “pleasing circle,” those attuned to the mystical forces of the universe are invited to then complete the ritual by speaking the words of the incantation, beseeching the spirits to bind the POTUS from filling “our minds with hate, confusion, fear, or despair.”

Trump’s cabinet members are also included, with the spell designed to “bind all of them, as with chains of iron. Bind their malicious tongues, strike down their towers of vanity.”

For any amateurs concerned that dabbling with magic could tip the karmic scales against them, Hughes reliably informs anyone interested that the binding ritual merely “seeks to restrain someone from doing harm,” and should be not misconstrued as the more aggressive “cursing or hexing, which is meant to inflict harm on the target.”

Christians fight back

Upon hearing the news, evangelical Christians, rallied by the conservative right website ChristianNationalism, saw it as “a declaration of spiritual war,” demanding their supporters escalate things further with a response.

To counteract the midnight spell, “all Christian soldiers” were conscripted for a day-long scripture reading of Psalm 23.

“We ask you to join us in praying for the strength of our nation, our elected representatives, and for the souls of the lost who would take up satanic arms against us,” the author writes.

With both parties cancelling each other out, the spiritual battle for the fate of Donald Trump’s presidency now hangs in the balance of undeclared spiritual forces and black magic ops.
