Cold and mainly dry today with a good deal of cloud and some sunny spells, the best of these in the west. Frost will gradually clear. Some showers this morning in northeast Leinster and a few showers during the day along the east coast, possibly wintry on high ground.

Highest temperatures of 4 to 6 degrees with moderate easterly breezes.

Tonight

Tonight will be cold and mainly dry. It will be mostly cloudy at first, but clear spells will develop later in the night. A few wintry showers may develop along the eat coast. Frost will develop in most areas overnight.

Lowest temperatures of -3 to +1 degrees.
