Man arrested over Eddie Hutch murder

A man was previously arrested in May last year but was later released

Gardaí investigating the murder of Eddie Hutch at Poplar Row, Dublin 3, on the 8th February 2016 have arrested a man in his late 20s.

The arrest took place in the Northside area of Dublin at approximately 2:30pm today, 24th January 2017.

The man is currently detained under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended in a Garda Station in North Dublin.

Mr Hutch, a 58-year-old Dublin-based taxi driver, was shot dead at his home on Poplar Row on February 8th. He was the brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch.
 
A man in his mid-40s was previously detained last May over the murder of Eddie Hutch but was later released without charge.
