Appeal for witnesses following petrol station shop robbery in Co Kildare

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a petrol station shop in County Kildare.

The incident happened in Clane at about 8.30pm yesterday evening when two men entered the garage shop.

One man stood at the shop door, armed with what appeared to be a knife, while a second man went to the counter and threatened two female staff members with a hammer.

They left with a quantity of cash and nobody was injured.

The car used in the incident a - '141 D' reg yellow Skoda Citigo - was stolen on 1st December in Balbriggan, Co Dublin.
